Joanne Parsons

Joanne Parsons, PhD, MSc, BMR(PT), Associate Professor, Department of Physical Therapy, College of Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Manitoba.

Joanne comes from a clinical background in outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy. Her research looks at the use of resistance training to maximize health and performance, as well as decrease injury risk across diverse populations. This work is approached through a gendered environmental lens to investigate how our surroundings influence sports injuries and athletic performance.
