Kayla Duna

Kayla is a graduate of the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management at the University of Manitoba where she completed both her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a heavy focus in strength and conditioning and M.Sc in motor behaviour and control gaining experience and knowledge at the Perceptual Motor Behaviour lab. 

As a kinesiologist and using the weight room as her classroom, Kayla pioneered a program at Grant Park High School in Winnipeg, MB teaching strength training and wellness to students from grades 7 – 12 and working alongside with clinicians in the Interdivisional Program for Students with Autism (IPSA) to deliver strength training and behaviour assisting programs to students (ages 13 – 21). 

Kayla focused on providing access, knowledge and experience for all students teaching life long skills of health and wellness through exercise.  This program created various health and wellness clubs specifically: female bootcamps and for new comers to Canada.
