Dr. Fajardo focuses on finding novel ways to optimize skeletal muscle health and function in aged and diseased settings. Currently, the lab is investigating the roles of various calmodulin regulatory proteins and targeting glycogen synthase kinase 3 for age-related muscle loss and fatigue, muscular dystrophy, obesity and diabetes.
